Through iterative design, we have:
- Improved footprint with custom PCB board and in-house 3D printing
- Slashed power consumption without compromise
- Replaced Raspberry Pi 3 A+* with Raspberry Pi Pico* architecture
- Replaced PTT relay with transistor, for size and economy
- Added additional status lights to enhance operational monitoring
- Plug & play based on modular IDC to DB9 ribbon cable assembly
Disclaimer for RepeaterID power assemblies:
RepeaterID power assemblies include off-the-shelf buck converters, manufactured by DROK. We selected DROK modules for their reliability, low noise introduction to the audio circuit, and wide input voltage range. Per the manufacturer, these modules accept 6-32 volts DC. This makes them ideally suited for RepeaterID, where 12 or 24 volt sources are likely already present. The manufacturer states that these modules have the following protections: "input over-voltage protection, input under-voltage protection; input over-current protection; output over-current protection; output short-circuit protection; over-temperature protection.". RepeaterID power assemblies are intended for powering RepeaterID devices. Other uses are not supported or recommended. We test all power assemblies for functionality. All electronics involve the risk of malfunction or failure.
