RepeaterID breakout board
Breakout adapter to integrate the RT97S version of RepeaterID with repeaters built from surplus commercial equipment. There are many models of repeaters/radios out there and it is not feasible to test integration with all of them, but the breakout board itself will do the following:
- Pull a 5v signal on the PTT pin low when RepeaterID wants to transmit
- Detect when a repeater is active or idle (idle high) via 5v input to COR pin
- Send audio out to a mic or line in port (adjust volume dial on RepeaterID accordingly)
- Connect RepeaterID's ground to a radio/repeater
We have had customers successfully use this to integrate RepeaterID with both TRK-7/850 and VXR-9000 repeaters using the 25pin accessory port on the rear of the repeater. It can also be used to integrate with mic ports on radios when matching the pinouts. Note that many radios do not send a COR/busy signal out of the MIC port. idle high can be changed to idle low in the code.py on the device, contact us if you have any questions making this change.
This unit is only compatible with the original RepeaterID for RT97S repeaters, as that is the only model with the IDC port. This is an unrefined development board, be sure the IDC plug on this module is centered in the IDC port of RepeaterID and not offset by one pin.
